Calling All Kpop Stans!

We are thrilled to announce auditions for Korea Festival’s 2024 Kpop Dance Showcase, which will take place as the finale of the 2024 Korea Festival Fort Wayne on Saturday, September 7th at the Auer Performance Hall on Purdue Fort Wayne’s campus. We invite people of all ages and skill levels to audition, whether you’re a dancer with performance experience or a passionate Kpop fan who practices your favorite routines in your bedroom. This is your opportunity to dance with other Kpop enthusiasts, perform for an audience of supportive Korea Festival visitors, and gain valuable skills and confidence!

In-Person Audition Dates

Thursday, July 25, 2024 @ 4:30 PM - 6:00PM

Saturday, July 27, 2024 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

How to Audition

Prepare your favorite Kpop dance routine. You may also create a medley of multiple songs/routines, but the total length should not exceed 5 minutes. Feel free to wear a costume, bring props, and incorporate your own creativity! Please keep in mind that this is a family friendly show, so keep your costume and choreography appropriate.
Fill out the form below with your information. If you are dancing as part of a group, please have every member of your group fill out a form.
Check your email for an audition time slot OR video submission instructions if you cannot attend in person.
Attend the audition at your given time slot OR submit a video audition by 4pm on July 27th according to the instructions emailed to you.

Rehearsal Information

Due to venue changes and availability of the KPop Showcase Team, we will put a pause on the group finale dance for 2024. We hope to bring this back in the near future - as such, we hope to invite more performers on stage this year to give everyone the opportunity to show off their skills!

We are, however, planning to host open-rehearsal dates in late August for those that would like to practice on stage before the Korean Festival. More information will be given to ALL performers that have qualified for this year’s showcase!

Auditions will be held on Thursday, July 25 from 4-6pm & Saturday, July 27 from 2-4pm at First Presbyterian Church Fort Wayne. If you cannot attend, video submission instructions will be emailed to you.
